História da Drillcon

A Drillcon foi fundada em 1963, em Nora, Suécia, sob o nome de Kärnborrning AB, como subsidiária da Hagby Bruk AB, com o objetivo de testar e desenvolver equipamentos de perfuração de núcleos em condições reais. Atualmente, a Drillcon opera a nível global através da Drillcon Scandinavia, Drillcon Iberia e da Drillcon Central Europe, oferecendo serviços de perfuração de núcleos, raiseboring e estudos geotécnicos em mais de 45 mercados.

Highlights in Drillcon's History

  1. Foundation

    Drillcon was founded in Nora, Sweden under the name Kärnborrning AB as a subsidiary to Hagby Bruk AB.

  2. Sale of Company

    Hagby Bruk sold the company to the management and the company continued to grow.

  3. Acquisition

    SGAB Borr was acquired, adding sixty employees and a larger rig fleet.

  4. New Acquisition

    Boliden’s internal contracting division (Boliden GB) was acquired; Drillcon GB was formed.

  5. New Subsidiary

    Subsidiary Drillcon Iberia SA was founded, later Drillcon Iberia 2005 after restructuring.

  6. Restructuring

    Drillcon Resurs AB was split and core drilling operations transferred to Drillcon AB, renamed Drillcon Core AB.

  7. Stock Exchange Entry

    Drillcon was listed on First North MTF (Stockholm Stock Exchange).

  8. New Acquisition

    Drillcon acquired Smoy (Suomen Malmi OY), the biggest core drilling contractor in Finland.

  9. New Subsidiary

    Subsidiary Drillcon Norway was founded.

  10. New Acquisition

    Nibu Borr AB core drilling division was acquired.

  11. Refocusing

    Drillcon decided to close down Drillcon SMOY (Suomen Malmi OY).

  12. New Market

    Drillcon Americas SpA was founded in Santiago, Chile.

  13. New Structure

    Drillcon Core AB reorganized into Drillcon Scandinavia AB and subsidiaries took full responsibility for drilling in their markets.

  14. New Market

    Drillcon Ireland Ltd was founded in Dublin, Ireland.

  15. 60 Year Celebration

    Drillcon celebrated its 60-year anniversary.

  16. New Structure

    New business areas Mining and Infrastructure were introduced.
